Privacy Policy

MacroMeal ("we", "us", "the app") helps people plan and track high-protein meal prep. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it. We've tried to keep it plain and honest.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist:

  • Your email address.

If you create an account:

  • Your email address and a password (the password is stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see it in plain text).

Information you enter into the app:

  • Your fitness profile: things like body weight, body measurements, protein and calorie targets, and a goal date.
  • Your meal and macro logs: which recipes/portions you log, and the resulting nutrition totals.
  • Your check-ins: weight and measurement entries you record over time.
  • If you choose to add it: body-composition data (for example, from a DEXA scan).
  • If you choose to upload one: a profile photo.

Automatically:

  • Basic technical data needed to run the app (for example, your login session). We do not sell this or use it for advertising.

How we use your information

  • To provide the core features: building meal plans, generating shopping lists, and tracking your macros and progress against your goals.
  • To contact you about the app — for example, to send waitlist or early-access invitations to the email you gave us.
  • To keep the app secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve you ads.

How your information is stored and who can see it

  • Your account data and the information you enter is stored in our database, provided by Supabase. The app is hosted on Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf.
  • Your personal fitness data is private to your account. Other users of the app cannot see your data. We use per-account access rules so that you can only access your own information.
  • Waitlist emails are stored privately and are not publicly viewable.
  • We restrict who on our side can access personal data to what's necessary to run and support the app.

How long we keep it

  • We keep your account information for as long as your account is active.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data — see "Your choices" below.
  • Waitlist emails are kept until the waitlist is no longer needed or you ask to be removed.

Your choices

  • Access or correction: you can view and update most of your information directly in the app.
  • Deletion: you can ask us to delete your account and personal data by emailing us at the address below. We'll delete it within a reasonable time, except anything we're required to keep.
  • Waitlist removal: email us to be removed from the waitlist.

Children

MacroMeal is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

These providers have their own privacy practices; we link them above.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.
